I tried rice a couple of weeks ago and the rice stayed there without being touched. For the same reason I don't think alka-seltzer would work because the bird probably wouldn't consider it food. I've considered the pellet rifle option but since this is my workplace it would not be an option during the workday and I'd rather not spend a weekend waiting to see if it happens to visit my car that day. It probably happens 1-3 times per work week so I'd be rolling the dice on the day/time.
I don't think baiting it away with regular seed would work either. Plus it would surely attract more birds and probably piss off my coworkers in the process. The bird isn't eating anything when it's sitting on my car. It just sits on the mirrors, roof, or rear window wiper blade and craps all over the place. I've tried parking on the other side of the lot and it still finds my car. The cars on either side of mine don't have any crap - just mine. Why? I dunno, I've got the only orange car in the lot (Tropic Orange VW GTI). One thing I forgot to mention is I noticed that there are dirty claw mark scratches on my driver side window as if the bird was attacking the window. I don't have mirrored tint but I do have max legal tint so maybe it's attacking a reflection of itself thinking it's another bird? Oh, and this bird is just some small brown thing. I don't have any idea what kind.
If I do go the poisoned seed route, what should I use to poison the seed that would be effective yet the bird would still eat it?

Outside my work there's a bird that has taken a liking to my car. Every few days I'll come out and there will be bird crap all over my car. No, I'm not exagerating. I'm talking both side mirrors loaded, the roof loaded, and the bumper above the rear wiper loaded. I've caught the bird sitting on the car and I've scared it away but it always comes back. It's been going on for about 2 months now and I'm sick of it. I'm not an animal or bird hater but at this point I'd choke that bird to death with my bare hands.
Any suggestions? I've got several bad spots in my paint on my roof so I'm willing to try anything now.
