good aerobic exercise, like running, swimming, etc.

crunches tone the muscle, but you need to burn calories if you want those fat bulges to dissappear

crunches!

just kidding, that's not going to do anything for the belly except make it tighter underneath the fat.

ma huang, effedrin, caffeine, or some actual exercise. Pair that with starting meals with foods high in fiber and stop eating when you aren't hungry any more.

you know, calories burnt > calories eaten --> lose weight.

you have to do cardio

I suggest running first thing in the morning before eating (AFTER EATING A BIG DINNER OF CARBS) and runnign right before a protein shake...your body will burn the fat est that way

I've always thought so too.

I'm telling you man...tapeworms are the weight loss of the future!

You can eat whatever you want (Eat your loaf of bread out Atkins!). It doesn't require invasive surgery (no stomach staples or hospital stays). And best of all, it's the friendly thing to do because you are supporting the life of another living creature. It's the eco-friendly way to live. Be your own host!

And best of all, it's cheap! My tapeworm in a pill only requires a single payment of $19.95. Just ingest and eat whatever you want and watch the pounds melt away!

Like others have said. Crunches will do nothing but build and strengthen muscles underneath fat. Cardio, cardio, cardio. Twice a day jogging is a great place to begin. Make sure you have some decent shoes;)

I went from 185 to just over 160 in two months. How? Calorie reduction, portion control, drinking less alcohol, and exercise. No magic, just good health and habits. I lost inches off my waistline.

I started running about a month ago and am still using bad shoes. Thinking of buying some next week. Any tips? Looking to spend around $50...

OT: Do you burn more calories in a room that is cold versus one at room temperature?

You don't even need to do cardio, though it would help.

Track you daily calories here:

Fitday

Aim for the about the same # each day for awhile, then gradually start reducing your daily total each week, by say 200 calories. Do this until you are losing weight at a reaonable level (~1 - 2 lbs/week).

If you want to add cardio, do 3-5 high intensity, short duration sessions each week.

I would also recommend heavy weight training, but that is a whole other topic.
