How to get receiver networked in this setup?

I dont have the receiver yet, but I will in the near future so trying to get everything set up beforehand.

First, the relevant setup:
Main PC upstairs connected to Linksys E4200, then to ISP router.
HTPC downstairs (running Win7 32 bit if relevant), currently have a wireless card installed to connect via wifi to PC upstairs, and internet through the Linksys.

Im trying to figure out how to get my receiver networked. I have an old DIR655, but it has to be hard wired to host router in order to work as an AP, so thats not an option (house not wired with CAT5/6). Would I be able to somehow connect the receiver to the HTPC (they'll be in the same rack) and piggyback the HTPC's wifi connection upstairs? Do I need to buy a wireless bridge/AP for downstairs? Or what would you all recommend?

All you need is to get either a "wireless bridge" or a device that can do DDWRT which can set itself as a bridge.

Log in to the device, connect it to the wireless, turn off DHCP etc, and plug in a switch. Or get a device with 4-8 ports and do the same thing.
