How to get permanent marker off?

went to open my cd drive and just above it there is permanent marker slashed across the plastic glossy part on my lian li case. my friend probably marked it while opening the drive. anyone have methods of getting sharpie off?
 
Sulphur Acid should do the trick.

Really, alcohol should do it! If it doesn't, just don't open the drive ... that should solve your problem. You'll never see the mark again.
 
Cesium! If that doesn't work, at least you'll have too much cancer to worry about the mark any more.

DO YOU HAVE A DRY ERASE PEN? PUT THAT ON TOP OF THE PERMANENT MARKER AND WIPE IT OFF. IT WILL TAKE THE PERM MARKER WITH IT. I HAVE DONE THIS A MILLION TIMES WITHOUT FAIL!

THIS USUALLY ONLY WORKS ON DRY ERASE MARKER BOARDS, SEEING AS HOW NOT ALL SURFACES ARE DRY ERASE "COMPATIBLE"
 
get some waterless handcleaner. Goop or Gojo would do. They freaking get everything off your hands.

getting permanent marker off would prove the name wrong, thus causing a catastrophic disaster and would abruptly end the world.
 
Rubbing Alchohol.

One time I was at a school working with a co-worker named Kent. We were in a classroom that had a dry erase board. I picked up a permanent marker all the time thinking it was a dry erase marker (stupid me) and I wrote "Kent is Gay" on the board. It was amusing for a second, but then became even more amusing when I found that simply wiping it off with my hand, or even the eraser, proved futile. I then left the room quickly as possible.
