Yeah, I work in IT Support and have done for a few years now. What a bad move that was. All day you deal with ungrateful sob's that treat you like a slave. Most of them even call me the "IT guy" or "IT" even though they know my name.

Maybe it's just where I work....

Should have done accounting dammit.

I'm doing pretty entry level IT support right now. I thought something in IT was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life but after working in this field for almost 2 years now, I can say that I dont.

Plus I dont think I wanna work in an office building anymore..

LoL, that reminds me of the fact that people seem to be so used to calling IT for every little thing that we get requested to fix radios, clocks, and fax machines.

Just last night, our switchboard operator called me because people in a certain county couldn't reach the hospital and no calls would go out to that county either. Even after I brought it to the operator's attention that her phone was working, she still wanted something done.

That sounds like the calls I get all the time

Me: Hello?
Operator: Is our phone system down?
Me: I'm talking to you on the phone right now, aren't I?
Operator: Good point, thank you.
Me: You're welcome

Yeah dude. I'm starting to loathe this career. These people are so incompetent it makes me sick to my stomach. You would be surprised at how stupid my company's sales reps are. I dreading going to work tomorrow.
