Ok, so drinking, copying cd's, being on the head set phone and watching a hockey game all at once (go AVS!) is a bad idea when 'working' on a computer.
I intended to upgrade a Win98 computer to Win2K. However, I installed a dual boot without realizing it until it was too late.
So now, I want to get rid of the Win2K and go back to plain old 98 so I can then upgrade to Win2K. Make sense?
Question is how do I get rid of Win2k in the dual boot????????
No, I cannot reformat the whole disk as all this lady's stuff is on there and I do not want to spend hours reinstalling everything!
Cheers

If w2k is on another partition, just format the partition. If w2k is on the same partition as win98, just delete w2k's winnt directory and its Documents and Settings directory and its swap file. You can also delete the w2k boot files on C:. Then, from a win98 DOS boot floppy, run "sys C:" and you'll have your win98 boot back.

boot from your startup disk.
at the A:\ type sys c:

this gets rid of nt loader and will boot to win 9X

then just delete your unwanted files.
