How to get old win95 game to install in winXP?

I have an old game that I'm trying to install under windowsXP. I get a message saying " setup requires windows 95" then setup closes. Are there any settings I can change or patches I can install so I can install the game? Thanks.
 
Since XP is based on a NT ... The setup procedure will think it tring on NT and therefore will not install. Perphals isn;'t not possible.
