Ok, I just did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro on my current 7200 rpm hd. I've imaged the drive and I would like to put one of my WD 36 Raptor hd's as my primary boot drive in this pc.

Now the question...is there ANYWAY I can put this serial hd in and then copy the image onto it? Or is there no way? I didn't think about installing the 'Third party drivers' at the time, because I wasn't planning on doing this.

Suggestions appreciated.

With the nforce 4 you dont need 3rd part drivers as long as its hooked up to the chipset SATA ports and not an addon silicon image port. Moving the image should work IMO, the only hardware being changed is the hard drive and thats probably not enough to freak windows into a BSOD.

Go for it, you have nothing to lose.
