How to get my SCSI drive to work

I am putting together my first machine. I have all the parts. However, when my SEAGATE 9.1GB CHEETAH SCSI2_50PIN 10000RPM came in, it came without any cables, and I had no idea I actually needed a SCSI card as well...

Now, I started looking at SCSI cards the other day, and I'm lost. The variation in price is tremendous and I have no idea what criteria I should be choosing this card on. Google searches turned up little that enlightened me. Pricewatch gives everything from $5 adaptor cables to cards costing more than my machine...

I am hoping to use this drive as my primary drive and boot up from it. I'll get another one for extra space, later on.

Any advice what card I should get? What cables? Help!

PS. I'm cheap, so price is a factor in my decision, but I want to be able to take advantage of this speedy drive's capabilities, now that I have it! My motherboard is the one that AMD gave away as promotion. (... and that I won... woo hoo!)

I am a fan of the Adaptec 2940UW. It's a great card and you can usually come across them in the For Sale/Trade forum at good prices.

I agree, adaptec makes good cards, I am running one of theirs now. one thing though, I don't know if it has a 50 pin or if you need an adapter (or maybe I am just an idiot) either way I would definitely look into this card. they are pretty easy to set up, just make sure in bios you have it set to boot to floppy first, then cd-rom, then scsi.
