How to get my cigarette lighter power to turn off with car engine?

I have a GPS hooked up in my car that I want to turn off on its own as the engine turns off, rather than me manually doing it each time. Both of my cars power ports are always on. What's a solution I can do to fix this? I am trying to find some type of port adapters on Amazon, only two I found that might work are:
this and maybe this.

Other than that, what can I do? Take it in somewhere to rewire?

Another options is to find a spare fuse port that turns off after you take the keys out and add a fuse tap to it http://www.amazon.com/Littelfuse-FHA...ords=fuse+taps
Then run that wire to the cig lighter and disconnect the original powered wire.

2001 Mustang Bullitt. Interesting I'll have a look. I'm a noob at this, any tips to figure this out?

I don't see that option for your car.

Looks like shabby's suggestion is the best, or just wire one of the outlets to a key on circuit and reserve it for low powered items.

IMO, not worth it. Just tug out the plug slightly when you leave.
