How to get MS OFFICE to launch faster?

I have office 2k, WinMe and a fast computer (1.4ghz/512mb). THe problem is that It takes the first run of WORD about 8 seconds to load. It then takes about 6 seconds after that. WTF? I recall that word used to pop up like notepad prior to a few months ago. I also recall a little popup asking me to minimize that launch time...? Other programs are fine, virus scan was negative...
 
defrag your HDD, might speed it up a tad, check the option "arrange files so applications load faster"

Might want to check how fast your HDD is too.

I'm only on a P3 500/ Win2k/Office 2k and Word only takes about 2.5 seconds to be fully loaded and ready to go.
