How to get full screen on Compaq Armada 1750?

After finding approx. 700 pieces of spyware, adware, etc. from my friends notebook, I still can't figure out how to get the screen to display fully. It is displaying a desktop approx. 1/2 the size of the total area. I have tried the Fn / F4 keys but it won't give me a full display. Any suggestions?

have you tried finding the latest drivers and/or adjusting the resolution? Some laptops refuse to display full screen if the resolution isnt right...

Tried Fn > T and it works now. (CTM)
