how to get email notifications on a forum that does not have email alerts (doubt anyone will know but worth a try)

Is there some round about way ?

I know I know the steam program and app alerts you but I want it in email instead. Sorry.

There are or at least used to be page monitors but it's not likely that you can have more than a certain number per 24 hours.

Well, in a much simpler time - like 5 or 10 years ago, I used one to monitor the member activity page on an unnamed forum and those monitors may well still be active. I'd have to find where they're being sent though and that's not of much use to you.

Try googling page monitors and say you feel lucky. Does google still do that. I screen out everything I don't absolutely need.

Really? I'll try to remember that. Sorry I could be of any help. Someone familiar with Steam should be along, well, maybe not momentarily but you know how that works.
