Ok, I think this is pretty YMMV deal, but it's possible.

First, you need a Micro-Center nearby. My Microcenter had TONS of Imation Media storage starter kits for only $1 (or $4 depending on that sales week). On each of these kits, there's a sticker with RIP-reward points codes on them. Get a shopping cart and start hauling 40 kits. When you get home, starting peeling off the stickers. They should have a long unique codes on them. Now, log on to rip.imation.com

Now, you have 2 choice to redeem the points
1. Type 3-5 codes per week. If you type too many codes too often, their website software will flag your account with "possible fraud".
2. If you get flagged, or want to redeem at once, Call their customer support number and get instruction on how to send them the unique codes so they can process it for you. You'll need a copy of UPC code for the box and the receipt of the purchase.

The sticker on the kits should have about 1500 points. Doing a simple math, 1500x40 = 60000 points. Once you get 60k points on your account, you can get 2x Tier 3 ( They have ATP 3 and Z-340 speakers) or 1x Tier 4 (Altec 5.1 speakers, Audigy, WD 800JB, or Kodak CX 6200). They also ship it for free if you select UPS Ground shipping method.

So what do you get for $40? Alot of stuff! Literally! (If you count those starter kits). You can probably get rid of those starter kits in Yard Sale, or they'll make a decent surprise gift.

Sounds interesting; I know I bought hundreds of crunch bars at my Costco when they were giving me 99c of rocketcash for each 33c bar I got; tripled my $ and had more chocos than I knew what to do with.

Ha ha...Welcome to the club...Did this a while back...There are no storage kits left at the Cambridge, MA store :)

Starter kits have no real value. Threw away > 100 of them, gave the rest to Goodwill.

Dammit. Cleaned out my closest store. :(

But a neat idea for hot-dealers to keep in mind, I would have never thought of that. (WD 800JB HD, for $40, no rebate? Wow. Sad I missed this deal.)
