How to get CPU fan to run full speed all the time?

I'm using an AC Freezer 7 on my Gigabyte DS-3. Of course I'm overclocking. 😉

In the BIOS, I disabled all the thermal throttling nonsense and CPU auto voltage regulation. But, my CPU fan still speeds up and slows down according to load.

The fan is nice and quiet, so i would like it to run at full speed all the time in order to keep the CPU cooler.

Does the "smart fan" setting in the Gigabyte EasyTune software have something to do with it? There's a setting in there kind of like "CPU temp to fan speed" ratio or something like that.

Any advice would be helpful.

I figured it out (can't edit original post).

It has EVERYTHING to do with the EasyTune software. If you set the CPU fan's temp in the SmartFan tab to say, 40C, it runs at full speed.

And it's LOUD, which defeats the purpose of this snazzy new P180 case.

*shrug* At least now I know. 😀 Hope this helps someone who doesn't care about the noise.
