Ok here is my problem, we have this Sharp Bookshelf stereo on the shelf in our office. But unfornately it gets pretty bad reception where its at. It only gets like 1 or 2 crappy stations. Over by the window it gets much better reception, but we can't move it there because it would be in the middle of someones office. ;)

The antenna is just a wire attacthed to the stereo. It is somekind of propietary one or something beucase there is no way we can switch it for a powered one of anything.

So my question is, is there any way to boost the signal on this antenna to get more stations? like could i attach a longer wire to the one already on there and run it by the window or something?

I'd try that.

i'm not sure if they work for FM, but maybe you could try on of those antennas you plug into a power outlet.

yeah, that would be a powered antenna, but there would be no way to attach it to the stereo...

Get another length of wire about 6-feet long, splice the middle of this new wire onto the end of the existing wire to make a "T". Hang the "T" on the wall, with the T part on top (horizontal) Many home stereo receivers come with a "T antenna". Good luck.
