How to get best deal on a Dell Laptop

I need to buy a dell laptop soon and I just missed out on some good deals recently. Now the laptop that came out to about 1600 before is around 1900. Anyone know of any coupons or upcoming offers or what the best plan of action would be?

I would also keep an eye on the Hot Deals forum which usually lists HOT Dell laptop deals every 3 weeks or so.

Coupons and rebates....

I got my Inspiron 5100 for around $950 after selling the free Palm that came with it. It priced out to around $1750 before discounts and rebates. You just gotta wait for a good deal.

I got my inspiron 8500 for $1100 (p4-m 2.2, best available screen, etc)... just be patient. Make sure to get a coupon 15%-20% off coupons to stack

How soon do you need it? The Dell deals tend to go in cycles. There was a pretty big one that ended last week, so around the beginning/middle of Aug I'd wager there will be some more good ones.

dell doesn't charge sales tax the state does.
