how to get around school block

im at school and i need to get around a block so i can get my project ( that i up loaded to my gmail account) how do i do this ?


the have blocked gmail.com and gmail.google.com

please help!

try this, go to a free translation website, and translate the gmail.com front chinese to english. thats what i always did

i think they use Websense, to block 90% of all internet sites

They did that at my school too. All e-mail websites are blocked along with anything else that is entertaining, but Anandtech isn't.

most message boards aren't blocked because of some unknown reason.


And yeah. I do tech support for about 6 school districts. The only sure fire way I know is to use a port 80 proxy to actually down load files. Either that or upload to a ftp server and DL from there. Most FTP sites aren't blocked. If you want to just view sites, what I did back in HS was use RealVNC on my home PC, since thats a secure connection that can't be snooped on, and therefore content filtered.

nope that dint work, good idea though
