How to get an old site/domain off Google?

Is there a way to get an old site/domain off of Google's search results? Do they purge old ones eventually or do they keep everything collected?

Everything is archived. Even if you get it of Google, via lawsuit, it is still out there on some archived sites.

This I know from an internet marketing client I have, who has had issues in the past with wrong information that is still there and still from time to time gets dragged out and posted somewhere. It's a real mess for him. He's got bunches of lawyers and it sounds like it'll never get solved.

Everything you've ever done on the internet is there, somewhere, for someone to look at.
