how to get an fsb of 170 ? (wondering....)

hi,

on the madonion 3dmark2k1 website there is this list of the fastest rigs...and the top people all have KT266A based chipsets (like i do) - with their FSBs running at speeds often high above 160, even over 170 !

How did they get their FSBs that high ? DDR2700 Ram ?

 
Very good RAM that can handle the high FSB, often their using unlocked processors so they can drop the multiplier while increasing the FSB, and their being VERY careful that all of their other devices can handle the excessively far out of spec PCI and AGP buses.
