Well one of my friends gave me an S Video Cable for free. I noticed on my TV next to my computer that there is no plug on it but there is on on my dvd player. So, I thought sweet, it should work. Well after connecting my video card to my dvd player with the cable I couldn't figure out how to get it to work. Please explain to me step-by-step to figure this out. Or if It can't work if connected to a DVD player.

Video card = Nvidia 5900 NU

Thanks in advance

I'm rather confused as to what you're trying to do? If you're trying to hook the computer up to the TV by going through the DVD player, that isn't going to work. If you're trying to watch DVDs on your PC monitor by hooking it up to the PC, it would probably work, but would just make more sense to play the DVD on a DVD-ROM drive

The SVHS on the DVD Player is an output which is the same as your Vid Card so it won't work. You could just get a SVHS to VHS adapter and hook it to the Vid input to the DVD Player followed by the TV or just the TV.
