I have a new Vantec ID5 M.2 NVMe USB 3.1 Gen 2 enclosure. I installed an 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Formatted to NTFS. Works fine with Windows.

In Android, used Total Commander and exFAT/NTFS to USB by Paragon. The drive would power on, but I was unable to access the data with the phone (Samsung Galaxy S20 5G). Some say you can use a NTFS formatted drive with the aforementioned workaround. I was unsuccessful. I heard that Android liked exFAT. So, I formatted the drive in exFAT. Still works with Windows and does not with Android.

Is there a way to make these drives usable with Android? I was thinking of getting a new Android tablet, but wanted this working before I do.

All the cables are 3.1 Gen 2 Type C to Type C, except for one Type C to Type A cable to pair up with the case front USB 3.0 ports.
