Hi, I would like to use 1280 x 800 as my desktop resolution because some of the things are too small to see as 1920 x 1200 (I have a 2405fpw).
I used to be able to do it before I format my pc by simply going into Nvidia Control panel and add a custom resolution.

However, I can't do it anymore now because whenever I tried to add "any" custom resolution, it will give me an error "The custom resolution cannot be added".

So, is there anyway I can use 1280 x 800 as my resolution?
Thanks!

The new control panel did the same thing to me. Just do what I did. Download RivaTuner and install it. Pick the resolutions you want and they'll be set. You can even uninstall RivaTuner and the new resolutions will still be there.

There may be a work around through Nvidia's control panel, but I'll let someone else tinkle with that.

Oh really. RivaTuner can change resolutions as well?
Would you please tell me how to do it?
Thanks!

You might also want to consider increasing the DPI setting and leaving your resolution at native. Just go into the Display Properties and click on advanced, there you can set all your font size etc. (default is 96.)

Thanks for the suggestions, but that wouldn't solve the problem.

I tried to use RivaTuner, but I don't think it works.
Anyone else has any suggestions, thx!
