My friend just got a nice plasma TV and we are trying to hook up his computer using a DVI-HDMI cable. We can't get the resolution we want. He has a media center PC that uses a Radeon 7500. So far we've tried Power Strip and ATi tray tool, but can't get 1366x768 (native). We got 1920x1080 working for like 15 minutes, but it was really blurry and now it won't go back. I'm fresh out of ideas, any suggestions?

I dont think the Radeon 7500 supports that res. The drivers would just set the res without a problem on a supported card. Look here: Text

On that page it dosent say it supports that res. An easy fix would be to get a new video card, that thing isnt too great anyway.

Ah, that makes sense then - thank you much, you saved us both a lot of frustration lol. I'll have him order one of those $29 PNY 6200 video cards. His HTPC is mostly used for watching movies, so nothing super-intensive is needed. Again, mucho thanks  :cookie:
