I just got an Asus A7N8X motherboard. Is there a way to freeze the posting screen so that I can read it?

Like when you press "delete" to get into the BIOS.

Thanks...

Go into the BIOS. Under the Security setting, enable a BIOS password for "System."

That will let the mobo post, and freeze the screen showing your CPU/memory/IDE drives info, along with the "enter password" screen.

You can also just hit Pause, that is, if your timing is good, and you are quick.

Setting "Quick Boot" to "Disabled" gives you a lot more time to hit Pause.
