how to format without rebooting

I just cloned my drive and I don'r want to boot off the old drive I want to boot off the new one and format the old drive. How do I format, remove partitions and rename them without rebooting? Thanks.

you didnt specify an operating system, which leads me to believe you have XP.

control panel -> administrative tools -> computer management
-> disk management

if you dont have admin tools in your control panel switch to classic view

Or just change the jumper setting on the drives between master & slave.
If they are both master but seperate channels, change the cable aroiund
