How to format my computer?

I have a bunch of viruses that have infested my computer and i have a static ip w/ DSL and hackers seem to be controlling my pc. random files reappear even when i delete them, i lose internet connection sometimes for no reason. so i backed up my computer, i have windows 2000 server. i want to erase everything and do a clean install w/ win2kpro. is there a program i can download that will format/wipe my hard drive so it will be ready for a clean install, i dont feel like using dos commands such as format c:
 
Pop in your Windows 2003 Server CD when you start up your computer and then wait for it to say Boot from CD, then follow the steps to reformat it.
 
Insert the W2K CD and follow the on screen instructions. Delete the partitions you don't need, then recreate them. Make sure you don't overwrite anything important though.
 
FDISK every dirve, and partition. Next, partition and format. If you don't, you risk keeping certain viruses in the boot sector, which is (the boot sector) largley unaffected by formatting.
 
If your computer is that infected, I would recommend deleting all of your partitions, not just the system ones. Once you reinstall, the first thing to do is get a firewall, or at least use a router with NAT.
 
make sure you fdisk /mbr in order to clear the master boot record in case you have a boot sector virus.

BTW, that "take over your computer stuff" is more common than you think now a days. People just don't know they have some backdoor trojan running on their computer. This has recently been traced back to the Russian mafia among others.

Get a router as a NATural firewall plus as software firewall like zone alarm to detect when something want's to phone out.
Some one else mentioned...stop opening the porn stuff...
