How to format a boot drive?

I'm getting ready to sell my old system but I need to wipe both the drive's and do a fresh install of windows XP. I figure I can just right click the non-boot drive in My Computer and format that one that way. I'm not sure how to go about wiping the boot drive though.

Setup:
Seagate 160gb, 1 10gb OS partition, 1 130gb data partition
WD 120gig, 1 110gb data partition

Both drives are IDE, seagate master and WD slave. Can anybody provide some advice?

This looks promising. May use this.

I don't have a floppy, would it possible to just boot from the xp cd and format from there?
