How to Forget a Network in Windows 10

Every time you visit a new place and connect your Windows 10 laptop to a Wi-Fi, the network is automatically added to the list of known networks in your computer.

Leaving the wireless networks you frequently connect your laptop to alone, you should consider removing the other, unused ones in order to keep the known networks’ list clean and tidy.

That said, here’s how you can forget an unwanted network from your Windows 10 PC:

Step 1
Get to the Wi-Fi window

Type WI-FI SETTINGS in the Cortana search box, and click Wi-Fi settings from the Best match list (or press Enter). This opens the Wi-Fi window. From here you can turn your Wi-Fi on or off, view the list of available networks, configure hotspot settings, etc.

Step 2
Get to the Manage known networks window

Click the Manage known networks link present under the Wi-Fi section. This opens the Manage known networks window. Here you can see all the networks saved on your computer.

Step 3
Forget a network

Select an unwanted network from the list (Vivek’s iPhone for this example), and click Forget. This removes the network from the list. You must repeat the process to forget all the unnecessary networks in the list.
