I have this computer here and I want to install MSN 6, but it says I need at least Win98 (I dunno why), so is there any way to force the install?

What about an earlier version of MSN? like 5.0? I'm running 3.6 here...

Windows 98 is a prereq because it is much more bloated than Win95 and is therefore more in line with Microsoft's idea of the ideal operating system.

Actually, I live (for the next month anyway) in some small town called Nipawin, Saskatchewan. (5000 people).

I just found this awesome site, that carries older versions of a lot of software, here is the link to the page of msn old versions:
OLDVERSION.com

If msn is anything like aol they still probably allow old versions of software to sign on.

I have a CD copy of MSN 5.0. The printed instructions state that it will work with Win95.
PM me if interested.

I have a feeling he's talking about MSN Messenger, not the MSN service.

I don't think that the latest MSN will work on Windows 95, though you may want to try gaim, which will allow you to do MSN.

I hope this helps,
