How to flip videos 90 degrees?

I have many videos taken with my phone camera that are sideways. Is there an easy way to flip them all 90 degrees so they look right?

I think if you have an Intel chip you can do Ctrl-Alt-Left and Ctrl-Alt-Right to flip your screen to match. or can change your Desktop -> Graphics Properties for rotate or Landscape mode option.

Any decent media player will have a Rotate option.

Both desktop rotation and VLC media player are only temporary fixes. If you want to alter the video permanently, read this.

On a very similar note, I have been trying the custom options switch in Handbrake to do this am not having luck. What do you guys use to transcode and rotate?

Just found out that my Nero Recode can do it whilst keeping the quality and everything the same
