How to Flash BIOS

I have an Asus A7V motherboard and Im trying to get it working. So I downloaded the latest BIOS from Asus and it shows up as a .awd file, what is that? How do I use it to flash my BIOS?

You need to download, from the same site, the Award Flash program.
