how to flash bios in xp?

Hi guys,I have a shuttle ak31v3 and i need help on how to flash the bios with win xp.i have been looking for hours on how to make a boot disk and have had no luck.i have downloaded the newest bios from shuttle but can't figure out how to do it .Please walk me through it i would be very greatful.I have flashed before but that was with win 98 and a long time ago.Thanks in advance for your help.Please explain it in simple terms.

But a blank floppy in your drive and in My Computer right click on A: and pick format, make sure Make MS-Dos Disk, or Make System disk is checked (something like that, I don't use XP anymore).

After its finished copy the BIOS flash util and the BIOS file you want to flash to the disk.

Boot with that disk and run the flash util :)

If you need a boot disk you can get one at bootdisk.com . I don't think it matters what boot disk you use as long as you have the flash utility and the new bios on the floppy.

you can make a boot disk in XP. after you download the bios update and the bios program for AMI or Award(or whatever). Make sure you print out those instructions. read them trice if neccesary.:p
