
Users who’ve updated their phone to the recent version of iOS may experience this issue. The issue maybe regarding spotlight service not working as intended, searches may skip results or may not function properly. Follow the below steps to fix the issue.
Step 1
Search ‘Contacts’
The first basic step to check spotlight search is to search contacts, check searching contacts, if it doesn’t show desired results, click contact icon and open up contacts. Click on 'Groups' and select 'Hide All Contacts' to 'Show All Contacts'. Now check and ensure that the issue is fixed. If the issue persists, proceed to step 2.

Step 2
Try ‘Reactivating Spotlight’
Click on ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Spotlight Search’.
Deactivate everything that is 'Enabled' > ‘Restart’ phone > ‘Activate Everything' that is disabled and check if this works. If not proceed with step 3.

Step 3
Check ‘Language’
The issue maybe with the language preferred. Click ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Language and Region’. Select a language that you understand. Now again select the language that was enabled previously. Now check of this works. If not proceed to step 4.

Step 4
Try ‘Hard Reset’
Hold the home button and the ‘Sleep/Wake’ button at the same time until the screen turns off and release the buttons once apple logo appears. This would reboot your device. Once it is rebooted, click on ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘iPhone Storage’ and make sure cache had been cleared and now check.

Step 5
Reset ‘Location and Privacy Settings’
Try resetting 'Location and Privacy Settings'. Click ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Reset’ > ‘Location and Privacy’.
