How to fix PCI-E link width while overclocking on Gigabyte DS3 ?

I overclocked E6600 on Gigabyte 965P DS3 by setting 9x333Mhz = 3.0 GHz. The PCI-E frequence was set to 100MHz. Memory runs at 333x 2.0 = 667 MHz. BIOS is F10 version. The setup is easy and stable.

But in CPU-Z, the video interface shows only x1 link width out of the possible x16 speed. It aslo affects the onboard sound on the PCI-E bus badly. Here

I can automatically get x16 PCI-E when I set the CPU clock to default 2.4 GHz, but as soon as I overclock, the video PCI-E goes back to x1.

How do I get stable CPU overclocking and x16 video together?

Try to increase the NB voltage, the FSB Termination voltage.
I had this same problem on my P5B Deluxe.

You need to up the PCIe bus speed manually a bit, try 102-105 and give it an extra nudge of voltage just to be on the safe side.
