I have the canon i960. Say i print a straight line. on the left its lower than the right of the straight line across the page. The right side of the line is higher by about 2-3mm. its noticeable. How do I fix this?

I have a few suggestions but first I need you to print a photo. (Or clip art)

Is photo scewed so that it looks funny?
Or is the whole image just angled a few degrees from the edge of the paper?

If the image is distorted then your rollers are out of alignment. I found a web site once that sells maintenence kits to fix common problems like this.
I'll post it up if I find it.

If the image is in good condition but angled slightly from the paper edge, this is normal. Especially in inkjets. No home printer can feed a sheet through perfectly every time. Unless this is more noticeable than when you first used the printer.
In that case, see the maintenence solution.

Excellent site. Kits even include a video to show you how.

First of all your printer has a vertical paper tray which is not the best for paper handling. Make sure your guides on the side of the tray are set snug against the paper. If none of that helps you most likely have pickup and feed rollers or paper separation mechanism not performing perfectly. Cleaning these rollers helps a majority of the time. These rollers can collect lots of paper dust especially when using low quality paper. Just to add, try different brand of paper, a good quality brand. Clean the rollers will a good rubber cleaner that doesn't leave any residue. I would like to recommend one to you, but it may not be easily available to you. Do not use alcohol as it will dry out the rollers causing them to crack and brittle.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I made sure the paper guide was snug against the paper, and after I measured my prinout sheet, all was good. I guess the paper just didnt go in straight. Thanks!
