How to fix my neck...

I REALLY hurt my neck sleeping last night. It hurts so much I can barely move. Anyone have suggestions on what I can do to make it hurt less? Any quick remedies? I'm in so much pain....I don't know how I'm going to get through the day.

Ibuprofen is one of the best things you can do. I wouldn't stretch it any cause if it's irritated, it's best if you keep it as straight as possible and let it get back to normal.

If it persists, you might consider visiting a chiropractor or acupuncturist.

I once had a spasm (thats what the doctor said it was) in my neck and couldnt move it for 2 weeks without screaming like a small girl, this while I am on holiday! But a neck support is the best thing for any type of neck problem, anything to stop it moving.

I have a great pillow...and it's never given me problems before.


I think....I might've snapped my neck or something. Cause I lifted my head too quick (for some unknown reason)...right then it started hurting. So bad that i could barely sleep for the rest of the night. I asked around and was told to put something hot on my neck...I'm going to try a hot shower...and maybe put a hot towel on my neck later....so we'll see how that goes. Thanks for everyone's suggestions...(well, almost everyone's)...if you know a better way to relieve the pain...please, do tell.

I almost forgot . . . rub on Tigers Balm, White Flower Balm or even Mineral Ice (that Icy-Hot Menthol stuff) . . . it gives soothing temporary relief. Just be careful of that "capsicum" arthritis pain formula - it can cause skin burns.
