Many users had reported that flashlight seldom works after updating their phones to iOS12. Here are some steps to resolve it.
Step 1
Try ‘Force Close’
First and foremost step before proceeding into fixing it technically is, try force closing the camera app and launch it again and check if the flashlight works fine. If not, proceed to step 2.

Step 2
Change ‘Intensity’
Swipe up from the bottom bezel onto the screen and bring up the control centre. Click the 'Camera Icon' and press it firmly to open the camera intensity variation tab. Check if it is not kept at the lower most position. If this doesn’t help, proceed to step 3.
Step 3
‘Restart’ your iOS Device
‘Restart’ the iPhone and check if the flashlight works. If not, proceed to step 4.

Step 4

Try resetting the phone and check if the alarm is working fine. Hold the home button and the ‘Sleep/Wake’ button at the same time until the screen turns off and release the buttons once apple logo appears. This would reboot your device. Once it is rebooted, launch the app and check if the issue is fixed.

Check resetting the 'Network Settings' when the issue still persists. Click ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Reset’ > ‘Reset All Settings’. This would fix the issue.
