how to fix file opening in windows 7?

i view all my files in a list format.

if i have 2 rows of files showing in explorer and I click on any file in the right hand row, the whole row jumps to the left thus making what you double clicked not be what you are clicking after the second double click.

doesn't MS test their fucked up crap?

anyone know any file settings in explorer to fix this?

Mine doesn't do it exactly that way. In List View, I can open a folder with several rows of docs - and when I double click a file, it jumps to the center of the screen, but then opens it in the required program.

Actually, I don't double click. I always set my systems up so that a single click opens the program or file. I've always found that to be more efficient.
