Personally, I didn't bother because my logitech's batteries needed replacing by the time my clicker started having issues. So I just ended up getting a new mouse.
Alternatively you could just add a larger debounce timer in software. Not the most pure solution so you might have some issues with raw input, but you could use it as a temp fix.
I agree. I've torn apart a few Logitech mice to fix this commonly reoccurring problem. Most of the time the fix attempts don't work at all, and if they do it's short lived.
Time for an RMA or a new mouse. Logitech's RMA process is pretty easy as long as you are in the warranty period and still have the receipt. I keep losing my receipts so I have a pile of defective Logitech mice.
What kind of mouse is it? I had a similar problem with one of the original Razer Naga mice and the fix was to open it up and drop a few drops of contact solution on the button sensor. Fixed the problem. I eventually bought a new mouse, but that was years later.
