How to fix broken Klipsch Speaker?

This is why you should never buy refurbished speakers.

The speaker itself still works but isn't connected to the faceplate at all.

Yikes. Are the holes for the screws stripped? If not you could just get some more screws. If that is the problem maybe you could get creative with the super glue.

quick set epoxy. Home depot. Use pressure (a weight) until sets. Make sure surfaces a clean and rough up with some heavy grit sandpaper so assure a good grip.

duck tape will also work fine

is that fluffy foam stuff what gives klipsch the warmer sound?
or is that stuff standard in all speakers?

Klipsch speakers are pretty much the anti-warm.

But yeah it's pretty common to reduce vibrations and any noise the casing would make.
My old Boston Acoustics had the same thing.

Any decent speaker will have the fluffy stuff.

Also, particle board is a much better speaker enclosure material than plastic.

i'd say use hot glue because if you make a mess you can always clean it off,plus you could always open it and redo it in the future.

use a low temp hot glue gun.

it's polyfill. it helps tighten up the bass and reduce cabinet resonances. it's cheap stuff but works well. i put some in my subwoofer.

Well, although I agree that wood is better than plastic, I don't think that particleboard would be a big improvement over plastic...LOL
