How to fix a TV

I dont know if anyone here would know the answer to this problem or not, but im going to try anyway. I have an RCA TV that produces a high pitched humming sound when on. You and slap the side of it to stop it for a while but later comes back. I was wondering if anyone here knew of a easy way to fix it as its still a fairly good/usable TV.


On another note, Im looking for a good deal on a set of 2.1 PC speakers. I really like the flat monsoon speakers but i was wonder if there may be something better or @ a better price.

does this happen even when nothing is hooked to it (coax, rca's, input), Around here there are places to fix but the repair costs is sometimes as much as the tv is worth...lol. so if you can fix it then all power to you
