I just got a 28" hanns-g monitor from newegg and it had a cluster of im guessing 3-4 bright red stuck pixels.
I was obviously not happy, and as always, my first stop for pc advice was anandtech. Unfortunately, I was not able to find anything particularly helpful (could be I am a bad searcher). So I went to google and found this link:
http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-S...ixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor
Talks about what a stuck pixel is and how to fix it.
So far, I ran the JScreenfix and it worked a bit, reducing my stuck pixels down to 1.
Since this pc is at home, I left UDPixel running on it and set my screen saver/power saver to hold off for 10 hours to see if this can fix it, I will report later.
Because I think people should read the link, I won't post the direct links to the software. Also, they talk about non-software based methods to fix this.
Finally, I couldn't get JScreenfix to work with Opera or IE (got closer with Opera), I did get it to work with Mozilla, which they tell you to use.
Anyway, I hope this helps other people who search AT.
Regards,
Rich
