Step 1
Look for the command
Type WINVER in the Cortana search box. This displays the WINVER command under the Best match list. Depending on your Windows 10 version, the list may also be expanded to the right, displaying the other options related to the command.
Step 2
Run the command
Click WINVER from under the Best match list (or press Enter). This executes the command and opens the About Windows box. Here you can find information about your Windows, link to the license terms page, etc.

Find the Windows 10 version
Check the information in the second line of the box. This line shows the version of Windows 10 you’re currently using (1809 in this example). The version number is also followed by the built number of the OS.
