
Each network device will have a unique identifier known as the MAC address. It is also known as the physical address. You need to know the MAC address of your system’s Wi-Fi adapter. This would be helpful in setting up your router and to specify the device that can be connected to the network. Here is how you can easily find the MAC address in the Windows 10 system.
Step 1
Click the ‘Start Windows’ Icon
The first step is to press the ‘Start Windows’ button on your keyboard. You can also click the ‘Start Windows’ icon that is present at the corner of the taskbar.

Click ‘Settings’ Option
In the start menu option, many recently and frequently accessed files and applications will be present. Scroll down, find and click the ‘Settings’ option as shown.

Click ‘Network & Internet’ Option
In the settings window, select the ‘Network & Internet’ option. This setting option will help you to customize your network, Wi-Fi and airplane mode settings.

Click ‘Ethernet’ Option
Now, select the ‘Ethernet’ option that is present on the left side as shown. On clicking this option, you will find adapter and network sharing settings as well.

Click ‘Change adapter options’ link
In the ethernet option, click the ‘Change adapter option’ to view settings related to the adapter and ethernet.

Click ‘Status’ Option
Now ‘Right-Click the Wi-Fi’ option to view the available options. From the list of option, select the ‘Status’ option as shown in the below image.

Step 7
Click ‘General’ Tab
In the 'Wi-Fi Status Window', click the ‘General’ tab. You will find the connection related information. Now click the ‘Details’ button to know the MAC address of your Windows 10 system.

Step 8
Scroll to find ‘Physical Address’
In the Network Connection Details window, scroll down the properties. You will find the ‘MAC Address’ of your Windows 10 system. It is also known as the Physical Address.
