i'm upgrading my mom's drivers in her computer.. is there a way i can find out what video card she has without opening up the case??

what o/s? you could always just go to system properties and go to the vid adapter and click on driver details. that would tell you the current version and the card. or if you just want to get close (ie: tnt2 ultra is good enough instead of viper 770) then you could just reboot and look at the video bios when it comes up. will be the first screen (before processor/ram stuff).

just look at what driver it currently is running for a video card (in device manager under display adapters)... if your not sure what video card it is from that, just post what it says here.

<< lol... you definetly need a new card then... >>

its not mine.. its my mom's!!! i got my own system at my apartment

and thanks to everyone who helped...
