How to find out max FSB of a memory?

Hi all,

I've got a stick of KingMax BGA PC2400 (apparently) memory. I was wondering how I can find out the maximum FSB the memory can handle at what voltage. I tried last time to up my FSB to 166 (got an AXP1600, not sure about the stepping) and it died during the memory check.

I've read somewhere that I can use the Memtest program to test out the max voltage. But I can't seem to find the "feature".

BTW, I'm using an EPOX 8KHA+.

TIA.

yep memtest86 is what to use.
what "feature"?

by default it runs 7 tests ~ you should have it run all 11 tests by hitting (C) (2) (3) (0) when it boots up and starts running. once it runs all 11 tests itll show that it ran 1 pass.

HTH :)

So after I've ran all the 11 tests and up the voltage of the memory accordingly, MemTest86 will let me know the max FSB my RAM can run at?

Darn, was afraid of that :( Guess I'll either have to unlock the multiplier or get some better RAM :) Thanks for the tips!
