I'm not the one to go to the doctor on a regular basis, so i dont really have a "my" doctor or dentist. But a dentist I went to previously and who I've liked is now considered out-of-network. I'm going to need a cavity filled and although my plan covers 80% for both in-network and out-of-network, i would have to cover any amt the OON denist charges over the contracted amt out of my own pocket. Plus for OON dentist, I have to pay $50 extra in deductible. So im ruling that OON dentist out.
Upon searching I found several dentists who are considered in-network but I dont really know anything about these guys. How do I go about picking one? Is there a dentist review site of some sort? Can I call the dentist's office and ask for their credentials - what school they went to and what not?
