How to fill out a deposit slip?

I'm kind of inexperienced in this respect. I have a deposit slip that I need to fill out. It has an area to list checks. The amount column makes sense to me, but which numbers from the check do I put in the other column? I assume it is for the serial number of the check. It is not too big of a slot and there are three sets of numbers at the bottom of the check. Which numbers do I use?

you are as bad as I am (can't figure out ATM's) just list the ammount in that column on the deposit slip, if you have any questions, when you take it in to deposit it, the teller will help you, no problem!

There are two columns. One is for the amount. The other is the one that is confusing me.

I use an internet bank so I fill one out each time I make a deposit and put it in the envelope with the check.

I found it confusing too. In the first row, I just put the check number on the left and the amount on the right, then just put the total amount on the bottom. Theres a whole bunch of fields on the back, but i don't mess with that.

YOu can put the check number or the weird nuimber near the date....it's generally just for your own records, so if you leave it blank, the bank probably won't care.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking, but which set of numbers at the bottom is the check number? Is it the first? I think it might be the first because there is another location on the check with that same number.

Thanks, I guess since it does not matter I will pick the shortest number on the check and use it.

Cmin7,
which internet bank do you use. Is it better than a normal bank? maybe I can save myself some walking if I use one.
