i'm running windows xp sp2, fresh install. computer crashed while i was away. is it possible to figure out what specific program or driver caused the crash?
 
Start with the Event Viewer. May or May not give some details. Specifically the System and Application Logs.

(Start-->Control Panel-->Adminstrative Tools-->Event Viewer.)
